Spencer Gifts circa 1989

I saw this at goodwill, it reminds me of Spencer Gifts in the late 80s early 90s.Those years at that age, I wasn’t allowed in there. The one time that I did go in, I remember seeing birthday cards with plus size women dressed in lingerie. I was between 8 and 11. The cards were something like thisI remember being slightly traumatized and wanting to tell someone but I couldn’t tell my mom because I wasn’t allowed to be in there. Back in the day they had a register island in the middle of the store, I thought I was going to be in trouble being there. I felt the employees were watching me and going to yell at me. I made one loop around the register island and walked out… fast. Spencer’s did have some pretty boss promos. Here are two I found on the internet.now Spencer’s is all about dildos, sex games, Rick and Morty, Tshirts and weed jokes. Was it like that back then? I remember the posters and “toys” like Moonies. Put it on the back window of your car and moon the person behind you. What are some of your memories of Spencer Gifts before it got buck wild?

my daughter and I tried this, it’s not like Dora. It’s just a story all in Italian, almost Sesame Streetish style cartoons like Mr Hiccup. she watched both VHS but I don’t think either of us understood anything besides the gardener mouse loved the princess and he used muzzy to bite the bars and break out of jail.bogus
