I walked around all the piers early in the morning while Melissa slept. It was raining, chilly and people were jogging. I took a picture of some of the stuff on the pier
A lot of interesting art around on the streets, its pretty righteous.
Heres the view from our hotel room
We went to a Philippine restaurant before boarding. It was good but the staff were pretty ignorant.
We were tired as you can see from Melissa in this picture
These pictures were from the top of our hotel roof.
Since we were so close, it was nice we could wait the lines out and come in right before boarding. We had zero lines and walked right in. I highly suggest staying at the Marriott. Its expensive but its worth the piece of mind and availability. This time we got a mini suite that had a tub
It seemed like the food art was more risque on this cruise.
leaving Seattle
Hey dont judge my food intake because.i cant defend it. I did enjoy it though
Hands down my favorite thing was this Muesli... ate it every morning.
Day 2
here are the books we brought..I read half of mine, I seem to do that all the time
First stop Icy Straight
There were these Stone Stackings everywhere.
We did an excursion called Cooking in Wild Alaska or something like that. It was really fun and I enjoyed this a lot.
Walking back to the ship took these picturesHere was the animal waiting for us when we got back.
We sat outside so I got a big plate so I didnt have to walk back (sure jay)
Next stop Skagway
We did a walking tour here. It was a "ghost walk" with the Good times Girls. First off, we had no idea what we were getting in to. I thought it was just a name, not actually a woman dressed like a stripper talking about prostitution. Making innuendo jokes every chance she got. I mean eventually I rolled with it but right off the bat I was very shocked. She was really really good at her job and shes actually an activist fighting against human trafficking. Her story telling and wit where flawless. Excellent tour guide. Showed the darker side of the gold rush.
Bummer there was only one story during the whole tour about ghosts and we couldnt even see the place because the building was in the middle of the woods over a little creek. So we went back after the tour to try and find it. We got a nice street cat greeting
So I found the area she pointed at through the woods.
I figured I would only get one chance to see this place so I went for it. Found a stick and crossed it
I made it and didnt fall in!
It wasnt really any hiking, I saw it in the distance and found it easily.
It was the only thing standing from an old hotel that was haunted.
We took a bunch of Melissa's moms prayer cards and placed them in areas so she'd always be there. I put one on the fireplace.

Next Stop Glacier Bay
we got food and ate while watching the icey ice
Went down to the photo area and bought our picture from disembarking in Skagway.
Next stop Ketchikan
I went off the boat early and just walked around. All the stained glass was on this dock. Nothing was open. Love this Burger Queen place.
I would go here again. The place is so huge and so much to do. We were so rushed here, I think we only had 8 hours here. We did a lumberjack show and a traditional local tribe gathering
this guy was fucking insane at everything he did
The tribe didnt seem to be in to what they were doing. They were just going through the motions. It was kind of a bummer because I didnt get any passion from them.
They get commissioned to make Totem poles. They make them out of one piece
They also make boxes out of one piece of wood too.
animal waiting for us
I didnt like being rushed there. I wish we could have spent more time. They actually left a few people there because they didnt make it back to the boat. I thought that was crazy. We had to get on the boat to go to our next stop at Victoria Canada. Why not skip Victoria all together and just spend more time in Ketchikan? I think that would make more sense
We were only there for 4 hours.. we couldnt do anything off the boat but walk this walkway. Dont get me wrong it was a nice walk and the view was beautiful but I would have liked more Alaska time.
Thats the end. So we stayed an extra day in Seattle. Got breakfast at this place called the local 360. I hate cornbeef and hash but waiter suggested it so I tried it
hands down the best breakfast Ive ever had.. blown away!
Also had the chance to stop by Singles Going Steady
this dude took way longer than 5 mins. He talked shit about northern new jersey the entire time I was there. We ended up having some pretty good conversation about hardcore and punk but he kept telling me to watch old bad brains bootleg vhs tapes to see him. What in the world could I possibly say to that?
I wanted to stop by a sub pop store but we didnt get a chance to. So Melissa was really tired and she stayed in, so I went out and walked the piers again.
I thought the NBA jam stats on most popular teams was pretty cool
I was getting hungry so I bought two hot dogs here
Seattle style is peppers onions and cream cheese... you can pass.
This store was really cool and I highly suggest you visiting here
Here are the flowers in better light
I love my wife so much and Im so happy we were able to do this together. We're planning another cruise in 2021. As long as Im with her I know we'll have a great time. Here are some pics from the ships photo booth
