we got a new pump put in on the course and of course in April we had a heat wave come through and start burning up the greens.We had to figure out how to water the greens to keep them from burning up. We used a trash pump, made a hose hookup for the discharge and used the waters near the greens to water them.
any greens without a pond source we used a sprayer filled with water, attached a hose to the pump and were able to water
Big issue was the grass became hydrophobic and didn’t penetrate.
Because we made this move we were able to save the greens. They struggled but we didn’t lose them.
